Freshly conceived in 2023 and consisting of colorful pseudonyms like Vitriolic Voidseeker, Sepulcher Violator, Morbid Skullfukker and Perverse Korpse comes Veret. On their very first demo the Finnish four-piece takes the fierceness of Black, Death and Thrash Metal into an uptempo blend that calls for comparison with the likes of Nunslaughter, Nifelheim, Degial, Nominon and old Necrovation. Thrashy D-beats, short ripping solos, twin riffs and a bit of atmosphere are freely intertwined into 17 minutes of music that never hits the extremity of any of the genres, but loosely levitates between them all. Centred on old school aesthetics and far from sophisticated in complexity, the band does deserve credit for the balance in the music, which at no point sounds like a random mix of genres but rather admirably more like a best of all worlds. And with a good ugh here and falsetto there, ‘Demons Rise, Demons Ride!’ is the type of recording that admirers of all extreme Metal genres will be able to relate to. One of those demos you can play for your mates and everyone will get their kicks from it!
