After the well-received F.D.A. Records and Obliteration Records released ‘Everything Belongs To Death’ debut album, the Japanese Death Metal trio returns with a new demo. It is scheduled for a release on self-financed CD on October 31st, just nicely in time for their appearance on the Asakusa Deathfest.
The 3-tracker opens with a new track called ‘Lingering Suffer’, which nicely follows the band’s steps taken on the previously released material. Good and chunky Death Metal that reminds of the heydays of European Death Metal from the early 90’s. If you haven’t heard the band’s debut album, then it could be best described as mixture of old Pestilence, Morgoth, Massacre, Benediction and Asphyx. It even includes a vocal delivery that resembles the better days of both Martin van Drunen nad Marc Grewer. In my review I cited that ‘Everything Belongs To Death’ is much better than anything Martin van Drunen has been in for the past thirty-or-so years, and when listening to this new track I still firmly stand by that conclusion. The other two songs were already released in another form, ‘Inhumane Extermination’ on the one-track single from 2023 and ‘Devouring Parasites’ from the full-length album.
Yet, what makes this ‘Rehearsal Demo 2024’ even more interesting is the great rehearsal sound. This gives a much rawer taste of what Parasitario is all about. If you remember the pure and energetic demo tapes from the late 80’s and early 90’s and still like to stick to them, then this new recording is something you should not skip. For me, these authentic raw rehearsal room recordings are a precious part of Extreme Metal’s underground spirit.
