Vornoff started back in 2001 as a one-man band, but in November 2001 Svest found in Ull a great companion. Both were totally dedicated into dark, depressive and simplistic music. And that is how the music of Vornoff can be described best, dark ambiental music with a depressive mood.
This “Forledt” demo release is the third effort by Vornoff. I am not familiar with the other two rehearsal/demo CDs, but I can tell you that this is really great music. Without any doubt Vornoff has gained a place in my personal ambient top. The music has a feeling of despair and loneliness. This is how I like ambient, depressive and full of grief, relaxing yet in a way very haunting. I think I don’t need much more words to describe the brilliance of this demo release. I’m really looking forward for new stuff… And as I always say, ambient is music that you should experience. It should get you in a dark mood. So play this when you’ve dimmed the light and nothing else to do then listen to the music.
For sure one of the greatest demo’s of 2003 so far!
