This is another split EP for Blood I Bleed and Sounds Like Shit on Blood I Bleed’s Shantia’s own Fast & Furious label.
Blood I Bleed, on their side, throw in seven short and fast tracks in the vein of what Blood I Bleed is all about. With a wink to old school grindcore as well as the British punk scene (think of bands like Heresy, of which they covered a song for the Heresy tribute LP as well). Only difference between these songs and the ones that has been published on other split EP’s is that this is the first one to feature Rosco on vocals instead of Bert. Rosco used to be in My Minds Mine, together with Bert and Shantia by the way. So, for those who misses My Minds Mine, this kind of sounds like ‘the good old days’, because or Rosco’s recognizable voice. Still, musically it hasn’t got much to do with their old band of course.
On the other side are the Japanese guys from Sounds Like Shit. With a very harsh and shrill sound they tear up this vinyl, but still they are able to keep this slightly groovy sound and rock ‘n’ roll vibe, mainly because of the rumbling bass guitar that seems to be ongoing all the time. For those who are unfamiliar with this band, this is really a nice slaying and slamming blend of up-tempo grindcore, noise and crust.
