A short review for a short demo. Not many words are needed anyway. This Norwegian based deathmetal band Chton was founded around amongst others Torstein (Manes) and Terje (Eternal Silence). Chton is merging their backgrounds of blackmetal, thrash/speedmetal and brutal deathmetal to create their own mayhemic slaughter and unleash this upon mankind!
And well, did they succeed? What we hear in two songs are real good deathmetal songs in the vein of early Morbid Angel. It’s nice to hear some of this old school deathmetal again in these times where bands just want to knock each other out with begin the fastest, most brutal and the band with the most blastbeats. After all, this is at least as heavy! Good and decent old school deathmetal is what Chton brings you with this promo! This demo has a good sound quality too, considering that it was recorded and mixed in two days.
Let’s see what this brings in the future, I’m sure this band will have a record deal in no-time!
