After four demos and a split 7” with Necrovation (also on Blood Harvest) that I personally all missed, even the split 7”, I finally got my first release from them in the form of this full 7” EP “Silence Equals Death”. And like a jackhammer they crush, no wonder why Rodrigo from Blood Harvest told me that this is a fucking great band. This is old school thrash like we want to hear it, they clearly took the German scene from the eighties as their basis but play it far more frantic and angrier so it results in some extremely furious old school thrash metal. The raw vocals even reminds you of all these great eighties thrash bands. This, together with one of the better band pictures I recently saw (reminding of those classic Entombed band pictures) makes Corrupt one of the best underground thrash metal bands that I recently ‘discovered’. Headbangers heaven so to say, totally recommended!
