Artist: Genocide Hammer
Country: Mexico
Label: Panzercavsst Records
Formats: Digital EP
Year: 2026
Although this Mexican trio formed back in 2024, they have only been operating under the name Genocide Hammer since 2025; nevertheless, the band has already released three EPs under this new name, the latest of which is ‘Bioterroristic Panspermia’. What is also noteworthy is that Genocide Hammer has already changed its logo three times, with the current one, of course, bearing a striking resemblance to that of Primitive Warfare. Remarkable perhaps, but you know exactly what to expect musically. Genocide Hammer means business and more than lives up to its name…
Just like the previous two EPs, this new one has also been released digitally under the banner of Panzercavsst Records, a small label that is presumably closely linked to the activities and band members of Genocide Hammer. This gives the whole thing a certain DIY feel, something that is further enhanced by an unmistakable Punk influence. The previous EP, ‘Hexagramic Decimation’, featured a GG Allin cover as the closing track and on a track like ‘Excremental Warfare’ on this new EP, it’s clear to hear that the band members aren’t averse to a bit of raw, unpolished Punk/Hardcore.
That one track in particular has a very recognizable Punk connotation, but that is only like one/third of the total sound of Genocide Hammer. Besides the more “standard” (if you will) bit of wild war-like Black Metal, there is a good dose of Noise and samples mixed in. Samples from some films, buzzing flesh flies (presumably on a rotting corpse) and religious chants. That all blends down to a piece of music, which clocks in just under twenty minutes, that challenges the senses and is certainly not for the faint of heart. With its harsh sound, impenetrable sickening noise and overall unsettling atmosphere, Genocide Hammer is balancing somewhere between Revenge and Kiloton. If that doesn’t put you off, I’d say give it a go.
