Another demo from my dungeons. So, not new, from autumn 2002, but we are supporting the underground right? So here it is! And this one is really cool. I can’t really place it, it has a lot of influences, and Valhalla knows how to combine this very very well. This is some kind of a folky metal band that was unknown to me, till this amazing demo. And it has the right demo/underground feeling that I like so much. The music can best be described as folky/viking metal with heavy metal influences. But the band doesn’t travel the easy path, at the end of first side of the tape we get to hear some strange cover version of The Beegee’s “Stayin’ Alive”. Strange, very strange, but still enjoyable! On the second side of the tape there appears a little change in style, it’s getting more doomy, and this side is also really great. And another cover song can be found in AC/DC’s “Highway To Hell”, a strange choice again, but done highly original, in the doomy/folky feeling. I think this band needs a little more respect and attention in the metal scene. One of the better viking/folk metal demo’s I ever heard, an awesome multitalented interesting band… Hope to hear more of them soooon!
