Bloody Vengeance – Stuka Deathstrike [EP]

Artist: Bloody Vengeance
Country: USA
Label: Nuclear War Now! Productions
Format: 12″ EP
Year: 2026

Although the band has been around for about fifteen years, it is only in the last few years that Bloody Vengeance has started to gain traction. Perhaps this is because they weren’t very prolific in their early years, but the many gigs they’ve played with the greats of the Bestial Black/Death Metal genre, such as Blasphemy, Blood, Naked Whipper, and the like, will certainly have contributed to their rising popularity and underground fame. Add to that the fact that band members from bands such as Blasphemy, Goat Semen, and Impurity are loyal fans and frequently express their appreciation.

Bloody Vengeance’s first work may not have felt entirely on track yet. Although solid and enjoyable across the board, it still wavered a bit between Thrash Metal, Black Metal, and Death Metal. It was really only with the release of their second album in 2023, ‘Ruído De Guerra’, that the band came into its own with full conviction. Now the duo is back with a new studio EP that serves as a preview for the new album, which is due to be released later this year.

Unsurprisingly, the rise in popularity parallels the quality of the material offered. Although time has inevitably contributed to this, experience in other bands will have played a major role as well. Over the years, we have seen Exesor and Kadeniac return in the live line-ups of bands such as Blasphemy, Death Worship, and Abyssous. This also reflects the intertwining of these two with the international scene. No wonder the band delivers an excellent calling card with ‘Stuka Deathstrike’.

Wrapped in spectacular artwork by Rok, there is no doubt about the evil intentions of Bloody Vengeance. With warmongering ambitions, the band hammers four new songs straight into your skull in true Sarcófago tradition. Although it may not be entirely new, the first song, the title track, dates back to 2008 and was written for Kadeniac’s old band Witchfuck. However, it has been brought up to date so that it fits perfectly into Bloody Vengeance’s oeuvre of 2026. Exesor’s militant drumming in particular does justice to Sarcófago’s ‘I.N.R.I.’. Amidst the controlled chaos of the string work, he fires off a barrage of deadly ‘Hitlersäge’-like drums. The other two regular tracks fit into this same mould and promise only good things for the new album. Fans definitely have something to look forward to.

‘White Clouds’, on the other hand, deserves a separate mention. It is a cover of Tangerine Dream and was recorded by them in the mid-1980s. Although you would logically expect this kind of cover from artists such as Anathema, Bloody Vengeance also knows what to do with it. Once again, it is mainly Execor who excels here with fantastic 80s-sounding drumming, matching the famous Berlin School sound. It is not necessarily recognizable as Bloody Vengeance, even after a truly electrifying blast beat finale, but it is a nice addition to an EP, because that is pretty much what that medium is for.
